Edward S. Lim, MD is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery from Yale University (1995). In addition to his current clinical and surgical practice, Dr. Lim is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University. He has taught students of t YaleUniversity School of Medicine and residents and fellows of the Department of Ophthalmology. He is an invited faculty member at JCAHPO and The Osler Institute. JCAHPO gives him national exposure for the education of ophthalmic technicians. The Osler Institute prepares residents to take the National Board Examination in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Lim was elected President of the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians (CSEP) 2012-2014 term. He also serves on CSEP's Education Committee, and has been an active Executive Committee Member for over 15 years. He was honored with the David Parke Leadership Award in 2008. Dr. Lim was elected into the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Leadership Development Program in 2010 and is an AAO EyeCare America volunteer. He is an AAO Fellow and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Dr. Lim is married and has four beautiful children. He is an avid bicyclist and runner and is a devoted fan of both the NY Giants and NY Yankees.
